Treat yourself to a piece of french history with this magnificent sèvres porcelain vase with an elegant and timeless shape. Made by the manufacture de sèvres between 1907 and 1908, this exceptional piece is distinguished as much by its unusual size, as by the quality of its enamel called blue of sèvres, whose inimitable color (from the cobalt oxide integrated into the cover), oscillates between lapis lazuli and midnight blue. Its glossy finish adds to its magnetism, creating subtle purple reflections as soon as the light lands on its delicate curves. This same light literally makes dance the patterns of butterflies and clovers painted by hand and enhanced with pure 24-carat gold that dot the enamel, whose finesse of features makes this vase a true work of art. Today mainly produced for the great bodies of the state (elysée palace, hotel matignon...), sèvres porcelain is the flagship of french decorative arts. The vase is in very good general condition given its age. Note two gold nets a little erased at the level of the clover that dots the neck and a shine under the base of the vase. Neck diameter: 7cm. Base diameter: 10.5 cm. Official marks of manufacture (under the enamel) and decoration (on the enamel).
