Russia, fedoskino's manufactory, a wooden plaque on black lacquer, decorated with a troika pulled by three horses in the snow. Small deficiencies and restorations. Signed and dated 1987. Size. 16 X 34 cm. Ref adequantik 2207324. The fedoskino miniature paint factory is the oldest in russia, 40 kilometers north of moscow. The technology of manufacturing fedoskino lacquer miniatures has been preserved in its original form since 1795 and consists of a long and meticulous gluing of the cardboard, then its impregnation with linseed oil at high temperature, drying, pressing, grinding, polishing, and varnishing. After that, the actual creation of the artist takes place. And until now, the troika, in winter or summer, remains the favorite subject, the true symbol of the profession.
